The environmental organization "AENAOS THALASSA," based in Piraeus and is active in the field of marine environmental protection, is interested in hiring a Project Management Officer with experience in managing national and European projects, communication, and public relations, who will contribute to strengthening the organization and promoting its objectives through the development of financing tools and collaborations with institutions, companies, and international bodies.
Main responsibilities
· Submission, management, and coordination of national and European projects related to marine protection and sustainability.
· Monitoring of project budgets and timelines.
· Drafting reports, proposals, and informational material.
· Collaborating with local and international partners and stakeholders.
· Organizing and participating in communication, information, and awareness programs.
· Supporting and developing policies and strategies on marine management issues.
· Monitoring legislative developments, policy proposals, and European/international initiatives.
· Contribute to the development of policy briefs, reports, and scientific publications in collaboration with the scientific team.
Required qualifications
· Degree in Economics, Management, Environmental Sciences, Marine Biology, Project Management, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in environmental project management.
· Project management, organizational, and communication skills.
· Excellent knowledge of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
· Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello).
· Fluency in communication, presentations support, public representation of the organization.
· Ability to travel in Greece and abroad.
Desirable qualifications
· Previous experience in environmental organizations and/or experience in environmental/sustainability issues.
· Creativity, team spirit, and passion for protecting the marine environment.
