AMoS Film Festival – The 1st Film Festival dedicated to the Sea-Alonissos, Oct. 9-12, 2025

From October 9 to 12, 2025, Alonnisos will host the AMoS (Alonissos Movies for the Sea) Film Festival, the first film festival dedicated exclusively to the sea.

The festival is co-organized by the Municipality of Alonnisos and AENAOS THALASSA, with the support of the Cultural Association of Alonnisos.

The aim of the AMoS Film Festival is to highlight the magic and importance of the marine environment, raise awareness of global ocean issues, and promote sustainable development. At the same time, it seeks to promote the Alonnisos Northern Sporades National Marine Park as a model of integrated management of a marine protected area, with the active participation of the local community.

The festival program includes screenings of documentaries, fiction, animation, and short films for young and old, as well as a wealth of parallel activities such as workshops, beach cleanups, and day trips by boat, which reinforce the central message of marine ecosystem conservation.

With the vision of establishing itself as an annual cultural event of international renown, the AMoS Film Festival aims to become a meeting point for film and nature lovers, and more. It wants to inspire people to protect the marine environment through the art of film, as well as strengthen the local community, by extending the tourist season and upgrading the cultural profile of Alonnisos.
