The first film festival dedicated to the marine environment got off to a flying start! 21-10-2025 The AMoS Film Festival, co-organized by the Municipality of Alonissos and the environmental organization AENAOS THALASSA, was a great success. It took place from October 9 to 12 in Alonissos, the heart of Greece's largest marine park. The festival attracted the interest of hundreds of visitors and residents of Alonissos, who enthusiastically watched a total of 24 films (7 feature-length and 17 short films), participated en masse in the parallel activities that had been planned, and contributed to its flawless execution... |

The final General Assembly of the Ecoscope Program was successfully completedEcoscope 30-06-2025 During the week of June 23, 2025, the final General Assembly of the partners of the EU-funded Ecoscope took place! The four-year program focused on ecosystem management for sustainable fisheries and healthy ecosystems, aiming to promote effective ecosystem management methods. The General Assembly was a great success, with all partners gathering in Athens to share the results and final products of the project. |

Off we go again! 07-05-2025 Spring time is here so our educational trips offered exclusively to locals, have resumed! This time with students and teachers from the Vocational School of Alonissos. Our first educational cruise in the N.M.P.A.N.S ! 28-11-2024 The first educational trip with students of the Evening High School of Alonissos and some extra company - a total of 10 guests and 2 crew - was a powerful experience for all. Species observation, fresh air, chatting with snacks and refreshments, and of course knowledge shared "in the field" but also with information leaflets about the rare species of the Alonissos-Northern Sporades National Marine Park. The first General Assembly of the Ecoscope Project was succesfully completed 01-11-2022 The general assembly meeting of the EcoScope Project was a success and presented some very interesting developments. Over 50 people, representing 24 partners, met at the offices of CLS Sustainable Fisheries Management in Toulouse, France, for three days to discuss future work. The four-year project addresses ecosystem degradation and anthropogenic impact that cause fisheries to be unsustainably exploited in several European Seas.
